Other 3 inch toothpick frames require meticulous, difficult, and tiny soldering. With the NewBeeDrone Hummingbird Pro and BeeBrain BLV3 flight controllers, building this toothpick is easy! The only soldering necessary will be to connect the motors to the ESC. The BeeBrain BLV3 has large soldering pads to accommodate for custom builds.

Designed to drop-in your existing whoop electronics, the Mosquito XL transforms your whoop into an outdoor nano beast!
With 65mm props the Mosquito flies like a 3 inch toothpick but at a lighter weight and smaller form factor. 
We recommend using the BeeBrain BLV3 AIO and Gold 0802 18000KV motors with 1s batteries. While designing the Mosquito XL, we found that the 0802 motors provide plenty of power while keeping the weight low.
Note: The frame does not accept the mounting of larger motors. If your existing whoop motors have wires that are too short, solder on the included motor wires. When doing so, check that the solder joints are not coming into contact with the carbon fiber frame.

However, we all love a rip on a good old 5” drone, don't we? That's why we believed it was the perfect time to create an exceptionally lightweight 5-inch frame with the potential to craft a sub-250g 5” drone. And that's how Tony came to life.Our objectives were clear: create a lightweight frame with excellent flight characteristics and durability. While these aims are relatively straightforward with a standard 5-inch frame, working with a sub-250g 5” frame is an entirely different animal. We won't pretend that this frame was developed without any compromises, but we've given our all to make it a frame you'll eagerly take out to fly day after day!Tony is a straightforward and easy-to-build platform, fully O3-ready, equipped with our signature CNC aluminum camera plates to ensure your valuable camera remains maximally protected during all types of crashes. It's also compatible with analog cameras, VTX, as well as the HDZERO and Walksnail HD systems (Please verify dimensions for compatibility with all VTXs).We highly recommend using AIO flight controllers to keep the weight as light as possible, although a 20x20 mini stack will also work well.For instance, to achieve a sub-250g configuration in our test builds, we utilized a 40A AIO FC, CADDX Vista Nebula Pro, 2004 FlyFishRC Flash motors, TBS Crossfire Nano, bi-blade HQ props, GNB HV 380mAh 6S battery, and one battery strap, resulting in an all-up weight of 248.7g.However, if your intention is to use this frame with the DJI O3 system, the all-up weight of such a setup will increase to around 260g, as the O3 is notably heavier than the Vista. In this case, if staying under 250g is crucial, you might contemplate using a 4S version of the same battery or stripping down the O3 to shave off some of the excess weight.Overall, Tony is an exciting frame that offers an incredibly enjoyable flying experience. The SOURCE AUREO project is a collaborative FPV frame project initiated by Team BlackSheep. The frame is donated to the community to empower creators and makers and integrate best practices and current trends faster into a continuously manufactured product. In return, it allows the local distribution network to have cheap and direct access to a good frame in order to allow them to compete in an increasingly predatory marketplace.
The hope is for this frame to enable broad access to FPV thanks to a low price point, great documentation, and wide availability of compatible parts and accessories, without violating other people’s intellectual property.

Propeller Size

The props work with the motors to lift your quad off the ground.  Choose a prop size that fits your frame.  Higher pitch props are efficient in fast environments and are less responsive in slow speeds. Lower pitch props are efficient in slower environments and are more responsive in slow speeds. Beginners should try various pitch props to see what works best for them.

Motor Stator Size

The motors spin with the propellers to lift your quad off the ground. If you’ve picked a frame already, we show you which motors are appropriate for your frame. Beginners can choose motors with a similar stator size that others have used for the frame you’ve selected. Alternatively, calculate the thrust required for a particular thrust-to-weight ratio and learn to read motor thrust tables to select the best motors for your needs.

ESC Stack Mount

The ESC(s) controls your motors’ speed. It draws power from the battery to spin the motors based on what the FC tells it to do. Each motor needs an ESC. It’s common today to see 4-in-1 ESCs so you only need to buy a single part. For beginners, choose a 4-in-1 ESC that has a compatible mount with your frame and FC. The biggest consideration is amperage limit. We show you ESCs with appropriate amperage limits based on your frame size. You can calculate how much amperage you need based on your motor and prop choice.

FC Stack Mount

The FC is the brain or the CPU of your quad. It has a processor and other components that allow it to listen to your inputs and tells the quad what to do. FCs are commonly sold together with other components integrated or stacked (like ESCs and video transmitters). For beginners, choose a FC with a F4 or F7 processor that has a compatible mount with your frame.

The FPV camera captures the image you see through the goggles. An FPV camera may be included with the VTX, particularly with digital VTXs.
