 BALANCED DURABILITY AND WEIGHTThe QAV-S 2 JohnnyFPV Edition builds on the durability of its predecessor with upgraded 6mm thick arms in addition to the aluminum X-lock and FPV camera protection. At 133g (frame only - without accessories) this combination provides an industry-leading balance of weight and durability for even the most demanding applications.

X-LOCK ARM RETENTIONThe QAV-S 2 introduces a new lateral X-Lock arm system. This all-aluminum arm locking system improves the QAV-S design in both rigidity and ease of use, providing two-axis clamping that is mechanically isolated from the main plates and flight controller stack. The new lock system also allows the arms to fold with only one screw per side for easy transportation.

ALUMINUM FPV CAMERA PROTECTIONThe new FPV camera mounting solution offers excellent camera protection and support for various cameras through customizable carbon plates. The frame includes plates with damped mounts tested and optimized for the O3 camera and plates with mounts for a range of other camera options. If you want to create your own, the M2 mount points on the aluminum guards easily allow for custom mounts. Your imagination is the limit.

INJECTION MOLDED GOPRO MOUNTThe QAV-S 2 uses the same GoPro mount pattern used by other Lumenier frames, allowing a durable injection molded GoPro mount to attach with a single screw.

BACKWARD-COMPATIBLE MOUNTING PATTERNSFor those who still want to use printed GoPro and antenna mounts, the QAV-S 2 brings the JohnnyFPV frame into line with the mount patterns from the other QAV-S series frames. The new edition now uses the same mounting pattern and standoff placement as the other frames in the series. All previous QAV-S* mounts and Bardwell Special Edition frames will fit the JohnnyFPV Edition without modification. *Original QAV-S JohnnyFPV Special Edition mounts are no longer compatible

O3 COMPATIBLE MOUNTINGThe rear plate adds 25.5 M1.6 mount holes to mount the O3 air unit to the frame directly. The frame kit also includes a 5mm full aluminum mounting kit to allow for perfect wire routing for both the O3 air unit and a rear XT60 connector.

ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM XT60 AND ACCESSORY MOUNTA custom rear mounting solution allows for a hard mounted XT60 connection as well as a range of accessory mounting options for antennas, GPS, and rear-facing action cameras. Adjustable angles allows for the perfect position regardless of the accessory being used. The frame kit includes plates for the injection molded GoPro mount and GPS mounts with both single and dual antenna options, as well as a single antenna only option.

FOLDING ARMSThe new lock system on the QAV-S 2 JohnnyFPV SE allows the arms to fold with only one screw per side for easy transportation. Simply remove the side screws and wedges, and you are now able to fold the arms.

ImpulseRC ApexLR EVO HD O3 Deadcat Long Range 7" Frame Kit

The ApexLR EVO  7" Frame is the ideal companion for exploration and videography that demands extra range. It has special arm geometry for motors not usually found in deadcat-style frames, and a special design that keeps the DJI O3 Air Unit and HD Camera electrically isolated. This EVO version boasts an aluminum camera mount, video isolation, and TPU inserts to fit many HD and analog cameras.

TENSION BRACES

As prop size increases, the longer arms required cause vibration issues which negatively impact flight performance and video stability. The ApexLR EVO uses a unique tension brace design between the arms to increase stiffness and shift the resonant frequency of the assembly.
Pre-loading the arms in this way allows us to keep vibration to a manageable level while still using 5.5mm thick arms for a 7" prop. The new approach saves 20g in carbon weight alone compared to equivalent 8mm thick arms.
The ApexLR EVO is a variation on the typical 'dead cat' frame which have been modified to keep the front and rear motors aligned, allowing them to maintain the much loved compressed-x geometry in the motor layout.
This ensures the frame remains balanced and flight characteristics are not compromised, unlike the classic 'dead cat' design which moves the rear motors closer to the body and severely impacts handling.


CAMERA MOUNT

Included with the ApexLR EVO is a newly redesigned aluminium camera mount and 3D printed insulation inserts. This keeps the camera firmly locked in place and reduces vibrations, whilst ensuring it is electrically isolated from the frame.
With the many different HD and analog cameras on the market there is a large variation between models in the distance from the front of the lens to the mounting bolts. To give the camera the best possible protection, whilst also keeping the frame out of shot, it is critical to be able to adjust the position of the camera forwards and backwards within the frame.
By rotating the TPU inserts 180 degrees, as well as alternating between using the upper or lower bolt as the pivot point, the EVO camera mount has 4 possible mounting positions each 2mm apart.




HD VIDEO SYSTEM ISOLATION

A major drawback of the some modern HD video systems is that the body of the unit is grounded, this can cause the conductive carbon fiber plates and frame hardware to be grounded too. In an ideal world this is not necessarily a problem, however in the real world it's an accident waiting to happen.
Alongside the required M2 mounting hardware for the Caddx Vista and M1.6 hardware for the DJI O3, impluserc also include a die-cut mylar insulator and custom machined 'cone rivets' from non-conductive POM.
When installed your HD video system, and also the mounting hardware, is electrically isolated from the frame. This solution adds only 0.5g of extra weight compared to other designs using bulky and heavy 3D prints.

Removable Arms

Tiny Trainer V2 comes standard with 3mm thick, ONE screw arm removal. Not only that, it uses steel M3 screws, so you never have to worry about stripping a screw when tightening your arms. Break an arm in the field? Take off your motor, pull the arm screw and bolt your new one on. You're back in the air within 5 minutes.

Quick Fix Canopy Design

Taking the canopy off the Tiny Trainer V1 got old fast, now its as simple as loosening 2 screws. Once the back 2 screws are loosened (not removed) the entire body of the Tiny Trainer V2 unfolds, giving you access to 100 percent of the internals of the drone.  You're ready to go fly, pull the hood back down, tighten up your screws, and rip! This drone is easier to work on than ever.

Integrated Injection Molded Camera Mount

No more dealing with 3D printed camera mounts, The Tiny Trainer V2 integrates a beautiful nano cam mount into the front of the Canopy. 2 mounting points available allowing a 30-60 degree mount and 5-25 degree mount! All while being fully integrated in the injection Molded Canopy.

Customizable Battery Solution

Armandos design allows for the use of the battery tray V2 (recommended for 550 mah 3s), Micro battery strap, and even rubber bands. You can use nearly ANY battery on a Tiny Trainer V2.

Starting from square one on a new frame this year was quite the challenge, but with the team we brought together of amazing pilots the good ideas never stopped flowing! Being so confident in our first prototype that we bought dozens of frames to outfit our pilots, only to have a fatal design flaw that forced us to drop the design all together was quite discouraging. But we didn’t stop. Once Armando started drawing on napkins I knew something spectacular was around the corner. And the LiteSwitch is born! The world class list of pilots flying these at IO will leave no one doubting the legitimacy of this new model, and you can keep an eye out for all the podium finish posts coming throughout the week.

This model was designed and put through testing phases by a young engineering student, pilot and designer based in New York. His name is Kai Lin, aka Craftedkwads. We figured it was best to let him describe this frame so here's what he has to say about it. 
The Odonata is a nano drone that fits in your pocket, rips like a boss, and hums like a dragonfly (true to its namesake). Fits through the tiniest of gaps, and makes worlds out of small spots. 
1.5mm thick carbon fiber plates make for great durability, and the custom delrin standoffs are almost half the density of the standard aluminum ones (while retaining the needed strength), making the Odonata one of the lightest frames on the market, in a class where weight is the #1 priority. Fully thought out, the Odonata offers proper motor protection, camera protection, and build durability. A top mounted battery makes for easy access, and optimal flight characteristics.

Introducing the Armattan Odonata, the smallest FPV frame we have ever produced. But do not let the small size fool you. This model was designed and put through testing phases by a young engineering student, pilot and designer based in New York. His name is Kai Lin, aka Craftedkwads. We figured it was best to let him describe this frame so here's what he has to say about it. 
The Odonata is a nano drone that fits in your pocket, rips like a boss, and hums like a dragonfly (true to its namesake). Fits through the tiniest of gaps, and makes worlds out of small spots. 
1.5mm thick carbon fiber plates make for great durability, and the custom delrin standoffs are almost half the density of the standard aluminum ones (while retaining the needed strength), making the Odonata one of the lightest frames on the market, in a class where weight is the #1 priority. Fully thought out, the Odonata offers proper motor protection, camera protection, and build durability. A top mounted battery makes for easy access, and optimal flight characteristics.

Propeller Size

The props work with the motors to lift your quad off the ground.  Choose a prop size that fits your frame.  Higher pitch props are efficient in fast environments and are less responsive in slow speeds. Lower pitch props are efficient in slower environments and are more responsive in slow speeds. Beginners should try various pitch props to see what works best for them. 

Propellers

Motor Stator Size

The motors spin with the propellers to lift your quad off the ground. If you’ve picked a frame already, we show you which motors are appropriate for your frame. Beginners can choose motors with a similar stator size that others have used for the frame you’ve selected. Alternatively, calculate the thrust required for a particular thrust-to-weight ratio and learn to read motor thrust tables to select the best motors for your needs.

ESC Stack Mount

The ESC(s) controls your motors’ speed. It draws power from the battery to spin the motors based on what the FC tells it to do. Each motor needs an ESC. It’s common today to see 4-in-1 ESCs so you only need to buy a single part. For beginners, choose a 4-in-1 ESC that has a compatible mount with your frame and FC. The biggest consideration is amperage limit. We show you ESCs with appropriate amperage limits based on your frame size. You can calculate how much amperage you need based on your motor and prop choice. 

ESCs

FC Stack Mount

The FC is the brain or the CPU of your quad. It has a processor and other components that allow it to listen to your inputs and tells the quad what to do. FCs are commonly sold together with other components integrated or stacked (like ESCs and video transmitters). For beginners, choose a FC with a F4 or F7 processor that has a compatible mount with your frame.
